Your Right of Withdrawal & Returns — EU/EEA CustomersUpdated an hour ago

This page applies to customers in the European Union and EEA. It explains your statutory right of withdrawal, which applies in addition to our standard return policy. Where anything in our general return policy conflicts with the rights described here, the rights on this page take precedence for EU/EEA customers.

We're a small, passionate team, and we want you to feel confident in your Rituel de Fille selections. If you're shopping with us from the EU or EEA, here's how cancellations, returns, and refunds work for you.

Your statutory right of withdrawal (14 days)

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day on which you (or a third party you name, other than the carrier) take physical possession of the goods. If your order is delivered in several shipments or pieces, the period runs from the day you receive the last item.

You do not need to explain why, and you do not need our permission. This is your legal right.

How to withdraw

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement before the 14-day period expires. You can do this in any of the following ways:

  • Use the withdrawal function ("withdraw from contract here") on our website, or
  • Use our returns portal, or
  • Contact us with a clear statement of your decision (for example, by email to [email protected]). You may use the model withdrawal form at the bottom of this page, but you are not required to.

To meet the deadline, it is enough that you send your communication before the 14-day period expires.

Once we receive your withdrawal, we will send you a confirmation of receipt without undue delay on a durable medium (for example, by email), including the date and time we received it.

Returning the goods

After you withdraw, please send the goods back to us without undue delay, and in any event within 14 days of the day you informed us of your withdrawal. The deadline is met if you send the goods back before the 14-day period expires.

You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods. You may use the carrier of your choice; we recommend a trackable method, as we cannot take responsibility for return packages that are lost in transit.

Where possible, please include the original product packaging (unit carton, bag, or inserts). This is a request, not a condition of your refund. If packaging has been discarded, please contact us before submitting your return.

Your liability for diminished value

You may handle and inspect the goods as you would in a shop to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning. However, you are liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish this. Where the value of a product has been reduced by use beyond such handling, we may deduct an amount reflecting that diminished value from your refund.

Refunds

If you withdraw, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the cost of standard outbound delivery, except for any supplementary delivery costs arising from your choosing a delivery type more expensive than our standard option, and except for optional add-ons such as Route Shipping Protection.

We will make the reimbursement within 14 days of the day we are informed of your decision to withdraw. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or until you have supplied evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is earliest.

We will refund you using the same means of payment you used for the original transaction, at no fee to you. If you would prefer store credit, issued as a digital gift card that never expires, let us know and we are happy to provide that instead.

Items and situations with specific rules

  • Gift cards: All gift card sales are final. Gift cards are delivered digitally, never expire, and cannot be converted to cash, refunded, or returned once issued.
  • Sets and bundles: Individual products in a set or bundle may be returned. Refunds are based on the discounted price you paid, not the original retail price. For example, if you bought a $125 set for $100 (a 20% discount), the refund for any item would be its retail price minus 20%.
  • Free gift with purchase (GWP): If your withdrawal makes your order no longer eligible for a free gift, you can either return the gift along with your other items for a full refund, or keep the gift and have its retail value deducted from your refund.
  • Rituelist Rewards voucher codes: Voucher codes have no cash value, and the points used for a voucher cannot be refunded. When you return an item purchased with a voucher, only the amount you actually paid is refundable, and the voucher's discount is spread across all items in the order, so your refund is pro-rated.
  • Retailer purchases: We can only process returns for items bought directly from ritueldefille.com. If you purchased from an authorized retailer, please contact them.

Our additional, voluntary return window

On top of your statutory rights above, and as a courtesy, we voluntarily accept returns of lightly used, full-sized products purchased from ritueldefille.com within 30 days of the date your order was shipped—a longer window than the law requires. A shade can surprise you, so we encourage you to try a product on before deciding. If you have questions, reach out any time; we're always happy to help you find the right fit.

This voluntary policy does not limit or replace your statutory right of withdrawal described above.
